BIOGRAPHY
Leslie Bailey-Clarke
Leslie Pearl Bailey-Clarke is a professional singer, songwriter and voice coach born in Long Island, New York. She is number 7 of 8 children who were raised in a very musical home where her mother was at the helm of developing the musical ability of all of her children. Her mom, Daisy Hunt Bailey was a pianist raised in Harlem, New York who was privileged to perform at Carnegie Hall to show off her gift at the young age of 22. Daisy then married Wilbur Bailey and they raised their family in Long Island, New York. Leslie's professional musical career began in college as she obtained a Degree in Computer Technology at SUNY at Farmingdale and later on in the late 90's studied Music Theory and Biblical Studies at the New York School of the Bible. In 1985, she assumed the position as lead singer in a top 40 R&B band known as Play By Ear aka "PBE" where she released two singles then "Don't Start" and "You and I". As she graduated college and found a new hope in serving Jesus Christ she committed to give her voice back to God and has traveled the world singing Gospel Music and encouraging faith in Jesus Christ for now over 35 years. She traveled in the late 90's with a Theater Company for a year performing with Gospel Great Lady Esther Ford honing her acting and stage presence skills. Her rich contralto voice has blessed many large and small audiences as she shares her experiences of God's great love and how He saves and restores the joy of life to all who come to Him. Leslie has a God-given ability to teach so she began as a Vocal Coach in 1996 serving clients in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. In the last 20 years she has since moved to the Atlanta, GA area and began training voice and piano students online and in person to service clients nationally and internationally. Her school, Bailey Clarke Professional Services has an alumni of over 3000. Leslie currently serves as an Assistant Choir Director and Praise Singer at her local church in Conyers, GA., Springfield Christian Ministries. Her joy for singing comes through as she fervently presents songs of worship, victory and God's love. Her Debut Gospel CD "I am blessed" was officially released in June 2015, featuring the radio single "Say Yes". She has since released an EP in 2017 called "Believe" featuring the Radio Single "Lord you carried me". Leslie enjoys serving people especially the less fortunate so she often engages in assisting at shelters, prisons and sharing the good news of the bible and using her music as a catalyst to reach souls for the kingdom of God.
